Fire Extinguishers can also be found throughout the house.

STOVE & OVEN

Being in a more remote location means that there is no garbage pick up at Son Viguet. Therefore,  it is up to the Guests to organise and dispose of all garbage and recycling they accumulate during their stay. Hopefully this guide will make this process easier.

Garbage Bins can be found in the drawer beside the Kitchen sink and in the Utility Room. Ten to 14 Guests generate a lot of waste so we ask that you please remove garbage daily to nearby village garbage deposits. You can find the location of the Garbage and Recycling Depot here.

Recycling Bins can be found outside the Courtyard for:

  • Glass (Green Lid)

  • Plastic + Metal (Yellow Lid)

  • Paper (Blue Lid)

Please understand that failure to remove your garbage at the end of your stay will result in penalty of 25€ per bag. I.e. 4 bags left behind = 100€ deducted from Security Deposit.

A Note on Respectful Waste Management on the Island of Mallorca:

  • You are currently in the middle of a UNESCO World Heritage Site which we all treasure.

  • Environmental & waste management is the responsibility of people who live and use this precious place.

  • A group of ten or more guests will generate a large amount of garbage daily. Families with toddlers wearing diapers generate even stinky garbage.

  • Being on holiday means you have more time to be environmentally conscious and active to preserve the beauty of this island.

  • We are happy to be your hosts but due to the fact that garbage collection must occur daily - it is not included in your cleaning fee. Your environmentally conscious actions this week is greatly appreciated by us, the islanders and your children whose future you are protecting.
